TIPS FOR EASY ORDERING
Here are some tips to ensure things go as smoothly as possible:
- Double check your cart to make sure you have all the right things ready to go. This includes: quantities, colours, styles, items, etc that you want to purchase.
- Review your shipping and contact information before finalizing your purchase, please take the time to review your information, especially if you use the autofill feature. Check things like, postal code, unit or apartment number/letter, email address, street direction/quadrant (ex: 3rd Street Southeast or SE).
- Are you sending someone a gift? Make sure your recipient's shipping address is correct and that the right billing address is added (this one should be yours). You can also send us an email to let us know your order is a gift so we do not include a receipt.
- Need something by a certain date? While USPS does their best to stay within their estimated time frames for delivery, sometimes things go wrong and delays can happen - especially during times of serious weather. Sometimes delays are unavoidable. Shipping delays are outside of our control, unfortunately. Please plan ahead whenever you can by ordering well in advance, and keep in touch with us if there's some information we may need to better help you.
- We are not responsible for stolen or lost packages that have been marked as delivered. If packages are shipped with insurance, we are happy to help assist with getting a claim started with USPS or the shipper. Minimum shipping is sent with USPS Ground Advantage, which includes insurance for up to $100 (this is subject to change without notice from USPS). Additional insurance can be purchased based on the value of the goods purchased.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Returns or exchanges are very limited based on the items we provide. Returns and exchanges are accepted on a case by case basis, solely based on the approval of Dark Star Curiosities’ owner (Amber).
Items we sell are either hand crafted, or sourced for their metaphysical and energetic properties and are meant to be sold just once. Items that are not accepted for returns or exchanges due energetic, sanitary or health reasons:Crystals, Minerals, Ritual oils/powders/salts/balms, perfumes (including balms), burnables & incenses, candles, oils & room sprays, herbs/roots, divination tools (black mirrors, pendulums, tarot or oracle cards), skin care, custom items and sale items.
If an item has been approved for a return or exchange, please note the requirements below: All items must be returned in new and unused condition, with no damage and tags still attached. You must have your original receipt and method of payment.
- If an item was purchased with a gift card, the amount paid for the item less shipping will be re-applied to a digital gift card.
- For items received as a gift: an exchange or store credit will be issued if we are able to verify the item was purchased from our store.
- For our online customers a refund can be processed within 15 days of receiving your item(s) or within 30 days for an exchange or store credit.
**Please note, that the original shipping on purchases cannot be refunded and any shipping costs required to send items back to us will not be covered or refunded.
SHIPPING INFO
** To help lower our carbon footprint and limit waste, all items are packed with recycled shipping materials. **
- All orders (including international) are shipped by USPS unless a different method of shipping is selected at checkout. USPS Domestic Ground includes up to $100 in insurance coverage. Please note: this is subject to change without notice from USPS. Additional insurance can be added at checkout. For international orders, additional insurance is highly suggested.
- All orders will be shipped within 7-10 business days (m-f, no weekends or holidays) of ordering with some exceptions. Custom orders, mystery boxes and monthly boxes will have specific ship information included in the listing description or post-order communications.
- International shipping will take longer than domestic shipping. Depending on where the order is being shipped, the delivery time may be extended.
** Please note that once your order is picked up by the shipping service (USPS/Fedex/UPS) we are no longer in control of what happens between our shop and your mailbox.
