Palo Santo Sticks

Palo Santo (Holy Wood) keeps energies grounded while the uplifting scent clarifies and raises vibrations. This makes it a useful tool to enhance creativity, freeing the mind to travel while remaining grounded and steady.

Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) is a beautiful tree that actually belongs to the same plant family as the widely known frankincense, myrrh, and copal. When burned, the incense smoke of Palo Santo offers up sweet, woody notes of mint, lemon, and pine.

This beautiful tree also has incredible practical uses! The smoke from Palo Santo can drive away mosquitos and other flying insects while also freshening the air in enclosed spaces. These affects also apply to the essential oil.

Origin:

Northern Peru. Responsibly and ethically harvested from an indigenous farm from naturally fallen trees that have aged for a minimum of 4 years before collection.

How to use:

Hold your palo stick at around a 45° angle and light the tip with a lighter. Allow it to burn for about 30 seconds and once it begins to smolder and you see the tip glow orange, it should remain lit. Gently wave or blow out the flame and allow the ember to smolder and smoke. Rest your stick in a fireproof dish for safety or carry it and walk with it through your space starting from back to front, getting into all the nooks and crannies. Energy can hide in odd places. Carry a cauldron or dish underneath to catch the ash.Let the smoke move with you through your space.

You may also choose to cleanse yourself with the Palo Santo. Cleanse whatever parts of your body feel right to cleanse. Cleanse your feet to help you walk your best path, your mouth so you can speak the truth, or your ears to help you hear what knowledge you need to learn. 

Usually the Palo Santo will go out on its own, but you can also dip it in your sand or salt to extinguish it.

Each stick burns for approximately 1 to 4 minutes with multiple uses available. Relight as needed.
